Iwi & Ancestry

Kia ora, tēnā koutou katoa,

I was born and raised in Invercargill, in the South Island of New Zealand. Some of my ancestral roots are in the East Coast of the North Island, particularly in Gisborne. Through my father's side, I whakapapa to Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki, Rongowhakaata, and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa.

I also have Scottish ancestry through both my mother and father, with English and Irish roots through my mother's side.

I am very much on a journey of discovery as I deepen my understanding of these ancestral connections and the world of Te Ao Māori. I find that these roots often weave their way into the work I offer, with a connection to my ancestors or the connection of your ancestors through me.

My Journey:
I have always been highly sensitive as a child and intuitive. These traits that I’ve honed in on even more deeply over the last five years. As a teenager, I became fascinated by the connection between teeth, the jaw, and overall well-being.  I began a career in dental assisting at age 19 and was fortunate enough to work alongside a dentist who was expanding their understanding in functional and cosmetic dentistry. They practised in a way that aligned with how the teeth, jaw, and jaw joint came together.

While working as a dental professional, I experienced chronic anxiety and panic attacks, which prompted me to seek alternative healing methods. It was during this time that I rediscovered my path toward energy healing. I had my first Reiki session at age 25, while studying at the Otago University Dental School in Dunedin. This session triggered a profound sense of calm and clarity, something I had been seeking, but unable to find within myself at that time.

Healing Journey:
After struggling with anxiety and TMJ issues for some time, which only got worse following a car accident, I started seeing energy healers and attending women’s circles. This opened me to new ways of feeling grounded and calm. Over the past few years, I have deepened my knowledge and healing abilities by training in Reiki and Angelic Reiki, Fascia Therapy, TMJ massage as well as participating in two years of channeling classes. These experiences have helped me activate and share my intuitive gifts, and I remain dedicated to my ongoing personal development and healing journey.

Blending my background in dentistry with energy healing, I offer a holistic approach to well-being.
